Dow Biocides, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, has introduced Canguard Ultra BIT 20 DPG preservative, an enhanced version and drop-in replacement for Canguard BIT 20 DPG that offers lighter color and lower viscosity. Canguard Ultra BIT 20 DPG is a high-purity glycolic solution of benzisothiazolinone (BIT) that can be used under a broad range of pH and temperature conditions and under very alkaline conditions. Canguard Ultra BIT 20 DPG is used for the protection of polymer latexes and emulsion systems, water-based paints, coatings, adhesives and oil-in-water emulsions against bacteria, yeasts, and fungi.
